Hi! I'm Mick, the person behind 3D Smid.

This is a small one-man business where I happily create 3D-printed creations for hobbyists, collectors, and anyone looking for something original.
Everything you see here is designed and printed by me, layer by layer, in my own workshop in the Netherlands. No mass production, no warehouse full of boxes — I simply print what you order.

What do I make?
From detailed scenery and decorative pieces to little creatures that work perfectly as gifts or on a bookshelf. My Beasties are small characters with their own personality — funny, cute, or tough, always a conversation starter. Feel free to look around and discover what's available.

How do I print?
I work with PLA, a plastic made from renewable plant-based materials like cornstarch — no petroleum as a base. Because I only print when you order, there's zero waste: no overproduction, no discarded inventory. Simply made locally, tailored to your needs.
